AACC MEETING OF NOVEMBER 17, 2009

President JR Stolt called the meeting to order at 5:32pm at Town and Country Lounge. Those present were:

We didn’t have the treasurer’s report or minutes from previous meeting.

Even though we didn’t have the hole sponsor money collected from the golf outing last July, we did give the $4,000 to Christmas for Kids since it is getting to be that time of year and they could use the money.

The annual tree lighting and parade will be Sat, Nov. 28th. We agreed to

meet at 10:00 on Sat. Nov. 21st to decorate the tree. JR will see how many extension cords he has to loan us. Sheree will get with Jesse Gordon to be sure that is a good day and time for him to help out. Kelly will check with Dan to see if his lift is available too. We can use all the help we can

get! Kristin will check with Pat at City Hall to see if it is a problem if

the tree is trimmed up a little.

JR will get with Nancy to be sure she is all set for the parade. JR is getting the candy canes and Teresa is getting the coloring books and

crayons. Kristin has the tickets that will be given away at the door of

the pavilion after the parade. The last we knew, the helps for the pavilion will be Kristin, Nancy, Teresa, and Linda Proulx.

Kim offered her parking lot at Harbor Inn to decorate for the parade. And if we need a trailer, she said we could use hers. She also has a chair that could be used for Santa. JR will check with Nancy to see if she is all set on those items.

Deb Dieleman said she is missing a red/green tub from the Christmas For Kids Golf Outing. If anybody has seen it, please give her a call.

We also discussed raising money for the fireworks. Kim is working on a few things. Kristin suggested in the spring having the banks sell $1.00 donation tags where people put their name on them and the bank will put it up on their window. She said those usually go over pretty good.

Heidi Dewald dropped off a CD from Pure Michigan of photos for our area that will be advertised. If anybody would like to view it, please contact JR.

Sheree made a motion to accept the ballot for the upcoming elections. Kim supported it. Eric has asked that we put a note on the bottom of the ballot asking current members to go to augreschamber.com to view their information and if any corrections need to be made, they can complete the on line application which will provide the information needed. If any other information is needed for the ballots, please contact Sheree immediately as I would like to get these in the mail soon.

The Arenac County Independent contacted us about an ad for the tree lighting ceremony.

It was unanimous that we should not have to pay for an ad when we are sponsoring the event.
