Community

When a community thrives business thrives !

In any thriving community, the relationship between local businesses and the residents plays a key role in fostering economic growth. Companies that sponsor local events, participate in charitable activities, or provide support to local residents demonstrate their investment in the well-being of their community, earning customer loyalty in return. Businesses that are perceived as integral parts of their community garner positive public relations and a strong brand image. This reputation not only attracts local customers but also appeals to a broader audience who values socially responsible companies.

The Au Gres Area Chamber of Commerce & it's Business Partners are committed to support of our local community.

A word from the Au Gres - Sims Schools Superintendent

Au Gres-Sims School District is a small and rural district that sits on the shores of Lake Huron, in Arenac County. Located less than an hour's drive north of Bay City and Saginaw, AGS is close to the conveniences of the large, suburban areas while still retaining the intimate tight-knit community values of a small town. The district encompasses a large land area and is a nature-lover’s dream with miles of pristine shoreline and plenty of privacy. Our close connection with the surrounding area is evident in our place-based education program and many green infrastructure projects that align with the values of the community.

Clustered on one campus, school employees form long-lasting and powerful relationships with one another, our students, our families and the community. Au Gres-Sims boasts a comprehensive one-to-one technology program, small class sizes, and an award winning band program. Recent bond renovations have modernized our campus giving it the feel of jewel schools in our destination district. Au Gres-Sims is a great place to live, work, and raise a family.
